We are beyond proud to be part of the newly launched Global Center on AI Governance. We believe that Africa should lead the global discussion on Responsible AI and as part of GCG, we can do exactly that! GCG is dedicated to centering insights and expertise on the responsible use of AI in the Majority World, a region often excluded from these global debates. GCG will also be home to the African Observatory on Responsible AI and the Global Index On Responsible AI who will be releasing the first edition of the report in a months time!Exciting times ahead indeed 🎉 Big thanks to the team and the incredible support from International Development Research Centre (IDRC)https://lnkd.in/dZgt3Ufy

AISG is convening a series of roundtables for representatives from industry, government, and academia to discuss responsible AI. Such discussions are typically too narrow and too broad. Too narrow in that a few voices dominate the discussion – notably those in the United States and Europe, with China sometimes included. Too broad in that discussion is often limited to generalities and principles. This project aims to address both aspects of this problem, involving a wider set of stakeholders — in particular those from Southeast Asia — in more focused discussions of specific challenges in the application of Responsible AI to particular questions. Our first report, on relative responsibility of developers and deployers of AI systems, is online now. Enjoy! https://lnkd.in/gCKMKeH9

Interested in the impact of generative AI on anti-corruption? 🤖🔍 Look no further than the latest OECD AI working paper "Generative AI for anti-corruption and integrity in government: Taking stock of promise, perils and practice". Was a pleasure working with Gavin U. on this one and exploring how anti-corruption bodies are leveraging this emerging technology.

This is one of the first deep dives I’ve seen specifically examining the impact and opportunity of generative AI in Europe ⬇ The region's multiple languages and cultures, established science and tech industry and robust regulatory environment mean it is uniquely positioned to leverage the most promising opportunities presented by gen AI innovation.A valuable resource for executives who are currently asking how they can create value from generative AI in their market and the wider region. Don’t miss it! #LiftingEuropesAmbition #QuantumBlack https://lnkd.in/eVBQ5Zsw
