IoM Polizei. An original brochure for the new Armstrong Siddeley Sapphire 234 (100 m.p.h. saloon) from 1956 (reference MC 154/7/56 printed inside) , along with a price guide and cover letter. BROCHURE Closed size approximately 13¾” x 11” (347mm x 281mm). Opens out to approximately 34¼” x 11” (871mm x 281mm). Includes some great colour artwork by Terence Cuneo along with details and specifications of the car. Condition wise IT HAS BEEN FOLDED IN HALF (not very accurately) and there is a 1” (25mm) long tear on the right edge (looking at the inside with it fully opened) . Some general wear and tear / age showing otherwise. PRICE GUIDE Dated as November 1955 (in black) Revised Spring 1956 (in red) . Covers the 346 Saloon and Limousine, 236 Manumatic Saloon and 234 Synchromesh Saloon. Overall size 7⅛” x 5” (180mm x 127mm) – could be folded in half, but it doesn’t look like it ever has been. It is in a very good condition. COVER LETTER The brochure and price guide were sent to The Chief Constable of the Isle of Man Police, Police Headquarters, Douglas as a sales pitch – letter dated 12th September, 1956.
