These messages are scams. Anyone who believes their EBT card has been compromised should reach out to their local County Assistance Office (CAO) to replace their current card: https://www.dhs.pa.gov/Services/Assistance/Pages/CAO-Contact.aspx “DHS will never ask for personal information in an unsolicited text message, email, or phone call. If someone is claiming to be from or affiliated with the Department and they are asking you for your personal information, it is a scam,” said Secretary Arkoosh. “Please do not fall victim to identity theft. Since approximately 3:00 p.m. today, members of the Troop A, Indiana Patrol Unit have been dispatched to four separate businesses in White Township after counterfeit US $100 bills were passed. Those four businesses include: Advance Auto Parts (2085 Oakland Avenue), Aroma Joe’s, (2057 Oakland Avenue), AutoZone (2044 Oakland Avenue), and Harbor Freight Tools (2334 Oakland Avenue). During the transactions, the suspect passed a counterfeit US $100 bill as payment for a low-value item or items. Also this afternoon, counterfeit US $100 bills were attempted to be passed at Dunham’s Sports (2334 Oakland Avenue) and Kohl’s (2334 Oakland Avenue). The suspect is described as a white, Hispanic male reported to be approximately 19-20 years of age. He was also reported to have facial tattoos. While canvassing the area, troopers developed information and subsequently located and apprehended three adult male suspects. Charges are pending against all three suspects. Laura Ellen Ragano, 54, was reported missing yesterday by a friend. Ragano was reported to have left her residence at 66 Barrondale Road in Burrell Township, Indiana County on December 24, 2023 and has not since returned. Ragano is described as a white, non-Hispanic female, 5’5” tall and 170 lbs. with green eyes and brown hair. She was last seen wearing black leggings. Ragano was last known to be operating her white Cadillac Deville sedan bearing Florida registration 37DNNM. The vehicle, which has not been located, is equipped with a light beige-colored soft top. She was last seen on December 24, 2023 when she left her Burrell Township residence and her Cadillac was observed traveling toward Pittsburgh from Blairsville later that day. Ragano is also known to have ties to Florida and has a residence in Tamarac, Florida. Anyone with information concerning her whereabouts is asked to immediately contact Tpr. 42Saffron Indian KitchenOur favorite is still Saffron in Ambler. Consistently great Indian food. We do like Lilly’s as well and Nirvana, I would have to say those are our favorites in that order. We have tried New Era, but weren’t real thrilled with it. However, that was right after it first opened so we may give it another chance. Thanks, Andrea, for the new recommendation.
