The system makes it very easy to remotely connect with students in need of help, and varsity tutors has a decent software for remote learning. The pay is 25% of the cost to clients, and compared to the average pay in the field of academic tutoring is fairly low.
That's because Varsity Tutors pays their instructors only about 15% of the cost of the lesson. The tutors that clients might pay $95/hour to learn from will earn only $11–15/hour, depending on the subject.
